Lemme share a very sad story about my country (which you can also find in wikipedia)…By the 1960s, the Philippine economy was regarded as the second largest in Asia, next to Japan. However, the leardership of Ferdinand Marcos would prove disastrous to the Philippine economy, sliding the country into severe economic recession, only to recover in the 1990s with a program of economic liberalization, and the breaking of Marcos era monopolies and the system of cronyism under Fidel V. Ramos.
In a bid to further strengthen the Philippine economy, President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo pledged to make the Philippines a developed country
by 2020. May this come true and I am looking forward that this country regain its vibrance being the pearl of Asia.
A lot of people think when talking about the Philippines, everything is about poverty, crime, pollution…YOU ARE DARN WRONG AND STUPID. Look at the photos below and you might just get the shock of your life for being sooo ignorant. Forgive my words! The country is full of beautiful people, great beaches, people speak good English and we are sooooooo different than any other Asians. We got left hand drive cars, we use fork and spoon and not chopsticks and we are great singers! Hahaha!
